Heidi Klum

How could we forget popular Victoria's Secret Angel Heidi Klum. She has a wide variety of talents that has made her successful in her career such as being a German American model, actress, fashion designer, artist, an occasional singer, TV host/ producer and of course it all comes down to being a business woman. On May 10, 2005, she married singer Seal on a beach in Mexico. Recently on November 21, 2009, she took on the surname of her husband officially and is now legally known as Heidi Samuel. I ask, why would she want to do that!? On that note, she hasn’t officially decided if she will use the name professionally or keep her maiden name as her stage name.

 

Her career began when a friend of hers convinced her to compete in a national modeling contest called “Model 92”. By April 29, 1992, she won out of a pool of 25,000 models. She was rewarded a modeling contract worth $300,000 by Thomas Zeumer, CEO of Metropolitan Models New York. From 1999 to 2006, at the same time doing Sports Illustrated shoots for world class photographers, she was used to model in several editions for Joanne Gair body painting works. She even wrote the foreword to Joanne’s book of body paint work.

 

As for marketing, she has released two fragrances by the name of “Heidi Klum” and “Me”. Her talents have led her to design makeup for Victoria's Secret for their “Very Sexy Makeup Collection” which happened to be called “The Heidi Klum Collection”. The first run launched in Fall 2007 while the second was released the next fall later. She was also one of the designers for the Victoria's Secret lingerie line “The Body”. The name was derived from her nickname from her first Victoria's Secret Fashion Show appearance. She has done other designs for shoes for Birkenstock, jewelry for Mouawad, swimsuits that were featured in the 2002 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue and a clothing line for Jordache.

 

To name a few, she even became a spokes model for major companies such as McDonald's, Braun, H & M, and Liz Claiborne. Along with her celebrity status, she is a current spokes model for Jordache and Volkswagen. No stranger to Volkswagen, in 2008 she became a featured guest on the American Volkswagen commercial. In the commercial she is interviewed by a black Beetle. In her response, she comments that German engineering is so sexy causing the Beetle to blush and turn red. In addition, she has done many commercials for Volkswagen and McDonald's on German TV.

 

Heidi also has a large presence on television shows as well. Supplemented to her modeling work, she is seen in “Malcolm in the Middle” as a toothless hockey player and “Cursed”. Her guest appearances as herself include shows like Spin City, Sex and the City, CSI: Miami, How I Met Your Mother and Yes, Dear. Even on April 1, 2009 I remember watching Heidi on a CBS April Fool’s Day special “I Get That a Lot”. To be a little bit biased, she actually played the best joke next to LeAnn Rimes that night. She acted as an ordinary girl working at a pizza shop. All jokes aside, Heidi is the host, a judge, and co-producer of Germany's Next Topmodel with Tyra Banks. She even is used as a model and a voice for the video game “James Bond 007: Everything or Nothing” for the character of Katya Nadanova.

 

As for magazine covers, she is seen on fashion magazines of GQ October 2004 & September 2008, Jane August 2006, Esquire September 2006, Amica December 2007, Marie Claire June 2008, Forbes June 30, 2008, W July 2008, Vogue (Germany) June 2009, Playboy (Brazil), Elle, Instyle and Self. Her better known cover appearances came from the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue and her work with Victoria's Secret as an “Angel”. In July 2007, Forbes rated her as #3 on their list of the World’s 15 Top-Earning Supermodels for earning $8 million in the past year. The next year later in 2008, she moved up to #2 for having an estimated $14 million. With her steak growing hot by the year, in 2009 Forbes once again accesses her income to be at $16 million and is signed to IMG Models in New York City.

 

On Tuesday, Dec. 1 (10:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network, Heidi hosted the 2009 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show. I believe the pictures of her in a black latex bustier and skirt was from the preshow. The other pictures of her in a unique black and white latex dress are from the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show after party at M2 Ultra Lounge in New York City on November 19, 2009. Tyra Banks

I’ve known today’s mainstream old school Victoria's Secret super models for a long time. It was a pleasant treat to see them in a rare sighting in latex. I guess they aren’t such angels after all. Just mentioning yesterday about America's Next Top Model, Tyra Banks was the creator and host of the UPN/The CW reality TV show. She is now an ex model, media personality, actress, occasional singer and a businesswoman.

 

When she was in the 11th grade, she started modeling. Her experience on runway modeling took place in Paris, France. It wasn’t long before designers were noticed her talent on the runway that she got a deal for 25 shows within her first week in Paris. This eventually became a record in the industry for a beginner. Before she knew it, she gained fame as a model in Paris, Milan, London, Tokyo and New York. It was mainly her TV appearances that really ignited her commercial breakthrough.

 

Tyra’s conquered print and/or runway work for fashion/advertising companies such as Anna Sui, Coors Light, CoverGirl, Badgley Mischka, Bill Blass, Cynthia Rowley, Chanel, Christian Dior, Dolce & Gabbana, Donna Karan, Gemma Kahng, H&M, Isaac Mizrahi, Maria Snyder, McDonald's, Aislinn Dubois Modeling Agency, Michael Kors, Milk, Nicole Miller, Nike, Inc., Oscar de la Renta, Pepsi, Perry Ellis, Randy Kemper, Richard Tyler, Rifat Ozbek, Swatch, Todd Oldham, Tommy Hilfiger, Yves Saint Laurent and of course Victoria's Secret. She has even dominated high-fashion magazine covers like Elle December 1994, GQ 2000, Lucky June 2006, Essence February 2008, Ebony December 2008, Vogue, Harper's Bazaar and Cosmopolitan. She even holds the title as the first African American woman to appear on the covers of GQ, the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue and in 1997 for the Victoria's Secret catalog.

 

The same year she debuted of the Victoria's Secret catalog, VH1 awarded her for the Supermodel of the Year. Around this time she began making her presence in the music industry appearing in a number of music videos such as Michael Jackson’s “Black or White”, Tina Turner’s (See Past Posting)“Love Thing”, Mobb Deep’s “Trife Life” and George Michael’s “Too Funky” (done with supermodel Linda Evangelista as well as see my other posting of her). It was in 2004 when she debuted her single “Shake Ya Body”. The music video included the final six contestants of America's Next Top Model, Cycle 2.

 

In 1998, she released a book titled “Tyra's Beauty, Inside and Out”. The books purpose was to be a reference in helping women to make the most out of their natural beauty. She was also the co-creator of True Beauty. By May 2005, she retired from modeling to dedicate more time to her TV career. She made her final walk on the runway at the 2005 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show.

 

As for her recent TV work, she is the hostess, judge and executive producer of The CW Television Network show America's Next Top Model. On September 12, 2005 she hosted her own talk show “The Tyra Banks Show” which was a daytime talk show directed to a younger audience of women. As for her movie screenings, she’s played roles in movies such as Love Stinks (1999), Love & Basketball (2000), Coyote Ugly (2000) and Halloween: Resurrection (2002). Bernie Dexter

Bernie Dexter another pin-up model definitely has what it takes to be queen of pin-ups. When she was 18 just like Dita Von Teese she too began her career. This is when she won the Miss Teen San Diego County and carried on her dreams to a career in acting and modeling. During 2002 on one of her shoots, she had herself photographed. After the self photography, she submitted the photographs to the “Viva Las Vegas” pin-up contest. After her response from the contest and getting an overwhelming positive feedback, she decided to dedicate her time to being a pin-up model. On March 7, 2008, a German tabloid Bild wrote an article stating Bernie as “The queen of pin-ups”. (die Königin des Pin-ups) The tabloid then questioned if she is the new Dita Von Teese. The rest is history as you can see from the photo gallery of her work below. Dita Von Teese

Today’s entries I present the pin-up ladies of models. Birth name Heather Renée Sweet better known as Dita Von Teese is an Armenian-American burlesque artist, model and actress. Her work has granted her the reputation as “The Queen of Burlesque”. When she turned eighteen, she kicked her career off at a local strip club. Around this time, she tried out some glamour modeling and in college studied historic costuming and wanted to do work as a stylist for period movies. Her experience made her a trained costume designer, designing as well as copyrighting photo shoots herself.

 

Her looks in photo shoots were very similar to Bettie Page and it was her retro pin-up look that distinguished her unique from other fetish models. One thing I agree on is her listing on a few best-dressed lists. Her fashion and taste usually land her on the front row of fashion shows. Two of the shows include Christian Dior and Marc Jacobs which she is usually seen wearing the line. In 2006, she became a guest on an episode of America's Next Top Model cycle 7 on a workshop to give advice to contestants on being sexy with burlesque dancing and posing. Then in 2007, she made an adult entertainment performance at the Erotica 07 event in London.

 

Her fame eventually reached out to the music industry in 2008 when the German metal band “Atrocity” wanted her to be on their cover album of Werk 80 II. She is has been in a few music videos as well which include Green Day’s “Redundant”, swing band Royal Crown Revue’s “Zip Gun Bop”, Agent Provocateur's “She's Lost Control” and Marilyn Manson’s Martini Glass burlesque for “Mobscene”. Later on Marilyn Manson had a relationship with Dita and the marriage eventually failed.

 

Dita can easily be seen in a number of magazine covers such as Loaded January 2005, Vegas February 2006, Penthouse April 2007, Harpers Bazaar (Russia) December 2009 as well as appearances in Vanity Fair, Vogue, Elle, and international issues of just about every fashion magazine. She became a major feature for Playboy in 1999, 2001 and December 2002 “The Return of Fetish” cover including a cover-featured pictorial in 2002. A few other facts about Dita are that she’s spoken about a few lesbian experiences including when she was 20 having a long-term relationship with a woman. Sheyla Hershey

Sheyla Hershey is my other unique Brazilian adult model, singer and TV personality. She is better known for her gargantuan breast implants having the title of the largest augmentated breasts in Brazil and Latin America. It all started at a young age when she was a young girl. She had dreams of wanting to be just like American country music star Dolly Parton. Past experiences from high school on being overweight, unattractive and having a low self-esteem became the catalyst of her dramatic life changing accessory.

 

It was in 2002 when she went through a number of plastic surgery operations for liposuction, lip augmentation and of course her notorious breast implants. Coming out of 25 surgeries, she satisfactory achieved the dream Barbie doll slim model look. Since May of 2008 after 8 operations she had a monster breast size of 34FFF with 2000 cc of silicone in her breasts. At this time she caught the attention of the media around the world for her lack of satisfaction for the 34FFF. As they say in Texas…”Everything is BIGGER and BETTER in Texas!”…Texas law prohibited her from increasing the size of her breast another size. She really wanted to get 3000 cc silicone implants.

 

Disappointed with her size and the law of Texas on July 28, 2008, she made her next enlargement in Brazil. This time she had 3500cc silicone implants installed giving her a KKK cup. Going too far and clearly an addiction, on October 2008 she ballooned her bust size to a 5,500 cc which comes out to be a MMM cup. This hands down won her the title of the bustiest woman in Latin America.

 

Since her breast enlargements, she’s worked in the U.S. as a model and an actress. She is seen in NBC’s “Last Comic Standing” and is expected to be appearing in future movies. Her situation has caught the public attention on national TV shows, “Fox News” and “The Insider” entertainment show on CBS. When she went through the surgery, The Insider was there to tape it for a part of an upcoming reality show. Since, she has received a lot of criticism for her decision. Even The Insider scheduled an “intervention” with plastic surgeon Dr. Robert Rey of "Dr. 90210".

 

Now with a current breast size of KKK, she has been awarded with the Brazilian version of the Guinness Book of World records award and their edition gave her the title of owning the largest augmentated breasts in Brazil. Just in case you thought she was all boobs and no brains, she is also multilingual knowing languages of Portuguese, Spanish, Italian, Chinese and English. I had pondered, where does one find bras for those investments? Well, I realized from the photos that her in latex were the only thing stretchable to hold those watermelons. In today’s edition of Fetish Models/Fashion I cover adult models. Michelle Thorne is a British glamour model, erotic and porn actress. A new year means new things. As promised since the end of last year's posting, I stated that I was going to present more and just as great sightings of Fetish in The Media. After reviewing the poll results, you all voted for what you wanted to see in media fetish and we came out with a two way tie for Models/Fashion & Presenters/Comedians/Commercials/Other. As someone of my word, I will be posting for the rest of the week postings in these categories for the rest of the week. Even though Sophie Serafino doesn’t have much official write up about her. She is well known around the world as a violinist, singer and a composer. Born in London, she grew up in Australia. Her career kicked off at an early age of three taking violin lessons and scoring A grades in all of exams during her school years. She even placed in competitions. At ten, she took dance and by 15 she sung and acted. She was developing an unstoppable multi talent that by 16, she began dreaming about something different to classical dance and classical violin and writing her own music.

In May 2009 she was even invited to perform for the Crown Prince & Princess Mary & Frederick of Denmark.

 

Her charisma, unique talent and image have opened opportunities everywhere. Olivia Wilde

As for my first entry of the week, I begin with Olivia Wilde who I saw on "The Insider" Thursday night as the top 10 best dressed. She certainly gets my vote for that category as we all will see from the pictures. She makes a perfect choice to start under this week's special Models/Fashion category.

 

Birth name Olivia Jane Cockburn is Olivia Wilde’s real name. She adopted the last name Wilde as a stage name influenced by the author Oscar Wilde. She is an Irish-American actress that knew she wanted to be one since age two. Her family background is consisted of a long line of a “strong journalistic streak” and being “really critical and analytical”. Her mom, Leslie Cockburn is a journalist as well as a 60 Minutes producer and her dad, is an Irish journalist. On her father’s side, uncles Alexander and Patrick were contributors to the political website CounterPunch.org and her late half-aunt was writer Sarah Caudwell. Even her father’s father Claud Cockburn was a novelist/journalist.

 

Her days of acting didn’t begin until the early 2000s. Since then, she has been in many movies and TV roles. She is notable for the series of “The O.C.” as Alex Kelly and “The Black Donnellys” in 2007 which was a short NBC mid-season drama. She plays the character Jenny Reilly, which was about the lives of an Irish-American family linked to an organized crime in New York City. During the fall of 2007, she moved on to the Fox medical TV drama “House” as a young internist by the name of Dr. Remy Hadley. Nicknamed “Thirteen” she works shadowing Dr. House. Movies that she’s made an appearance in are The Girl Next Door, Alpha Dog, Conversations with Other Women and Turistas.

 

Olivia has also been in music videos such as the Dashboard Confessional video “Stolen” and the French Kicks video “So Far We Are”. In the summer of 2004, she became one of the key models for the Abercrombie & Fitch's “Rising Stars” campaign. Then in 2006, she won the US Comedy Arts Festival Film Discovery Jury Award as Best Actress for her work in Cool Ideas (2006). In 2008 she won a nomination for the Teen Choice Award under the category of Choice TV Breakout Star Female for House M.D. and the Rising Star Award at the Vail Film Festival.

 

On magazine covers she’s made Women's Health November 2008, Maxim July 2009, GQ (Spain) and even this month’s Lucky January 2010. In 2006 she earned the #95 spot on the FHM 100 Sexiest Women of 2006 and in 2009 made Maxim magazine's “Hot 100” as number one. I guess the secret to holding that number one spot is her confession as a vegan which she stated on The Ellen DeGeneres Show.

 

The photos of Olivia in a vinyl skirt were taken a year ago for the Fox's House 100th Episode Party & NAMI Charity Celebration. The event was on January 21, 2009 in Los Angeles, California. The other pictures with her modeling latex accessories were from the Maxim photo shoot. Notice the rip in the latex stockings. The original shoot had a rip in them and it was eventually touched up or should I say touched out. The shoot was intended to be a fetish shoot as it was quoted under the Black Arts title. Amy Nuttall

At a height of 5’ 5” (1.65 m), Amy Nuttall is not really tall or even close to being a nut. She is a British actress and singer who are mostly remembered for the character Chloe Atkinson from 2000 to 2005 in ITV soap opera “Emmerdale”. In her younger years around 17, she became the youngest actress to ever understudy and play the lead role on the national tour of “The Phantom of the Opera” as Christine.

 

It was in 2005 when she launched her debut album as a Classical vocalist Best Days on EMI Classics. At the same time, she did music videos for her tracks "Best Days", No greater gift and a version of Scarborough Fair. Scarborough Fair also became in high demand with Classic FM TV. Then in 2006, her album Best Days became a nomination for album of the year with the Classical BRIT Awards for hitting #4 in the UK’s classical chart.

 

Amy participated in the Reality TV program “Celebrity Shark Bait” and made an appearance in BBC1’s musical special “Celebrate Oliver”. She tested her actressing talent again in October 2006 debuting in “Guys and Dolls” at the Piccadilly Theatre as the character Sister Sarah Brown. As for her more recent appearance, on August 7, 2009 she played Melanie Hughes who was the new hotel receptionist in “Hotel Babylon”.

 

Jayne Middlemiss

A happy belated birthday goes to Jayne Middlemiss, born on Jan 05, 1971. She is a former glamour model, TV and radio presenter. It was in 1991 when she first began as a glamour model. She gave up the modeling in a year’s time to challenge her career in the media. She began as a researcher on GMTV and followed as a presenter for music programs. The music programs include The O-Zone, The Smash Hits Awards, The phone zone and Top of the Pops as well as its radio show on BBC Radio One. She’s hosted live for the Glastonbury Festival and the Edinburgh Festival including Rough Cut and Dog’s Balearics. From 2002 to April 2004, she became one of the original presenters for the new digital station BBC 6 Music where she presented the Music Week.

 

Taking the next step, she began a move to mainstream programming with shows like the three series of the fashion show “She's Gotta Have It”. Before co-hosting the LA Pool Party series, she presented a few BBC's Holiday programs around the world. Just about every year she stayed busy with her career. In 2004, she presented the dating show “What Women Want” for Five TV and then co-presented the seventh series of “Robot Wars”. The next year in 2005 she made an appearance on ITV's “Celebrity Love Island” and then coincidentally made a return in 2006 to Fiji to host “Aftersun” on ITV2 which is Love Island’s sister show. Then in 2007, she presented the third series of the “Orange Playlist” for ITV each Thursday night. One of her most recent achievements was being a contestant on “Celebrity MasterChef” and won last year in 2009.

 

Dedication and perseverance held yoga as a place in her heart. With over a decade of yoga experience, she released a hit DVD “Jayne Middlemiss - Love Yoga” in 2005. She planed to release a second fitness hit which she is currently working on. Her love for Yoga led to a narrated documentary about a yoga retreat in 2006 for BBC. She is also seen in 2007’s Channel 4 viewing of “A Beginners Guide to ... Yoga”. Aside from her viewing in exercise, she can also be caught in “FHM” magazine. Her fan attention gained her many votes under FHM’s “100 Sexiest Women in the World” poll ranking from 1998-2000 as #77, #75, and #74 place respectively.
